Sadly this walk is cancelled. The path to the Dam has been closed by Devon County Council for repair work. The closure is expected until 12th January 2027, or when the works are complete.
A walk on Emsworthy Mire will take place instead, where we will still be on the look out for Ring Ouzel.
A morning walk from Shipley Bridge to Avon Dam, where we will be in search of Ring Ouzel and other woodland and moorland birds.
Meet at Shipley Bridge Car Park (OS Grid Reference: SX681629; what3words: ///breaches.vies.riverbank) at 09:30.
Price: £2 for non-members, free for members of Exeter local group.
There are toilets at the car park.
Please bring binoculars with you if you have them, and appropriate weatherproof clothing and waterproof footwear. Assistance dogs only.
