Habitat – water, reeds, grassland, woodland, scrub.

Resident – common grebes, wildfowl, sparrowhawk, kestrel, tawny owl, reed bunting, woodpeckers (lesser spotted occasionally).
Winter – teal, shoveller, snipe, water rail, redwing, siskin.
Spring / Autumn – hobby, passage waders and terns, yellow wagtail, chats.
Summer – hobby, common tern, common warblers.
