March Indoor Meeting. Birds and Reserves of Lincolnshire – A Talk by Steve Lovell

Our next meeting will take place on Thursday 14th March at 8pm. The meeting will be held at the Finchampstead Memorial Hall.
Steve Lovell will be visiting us to whet our appetites on the delights of Lincolnshire. Steve is a tour leader, wildlife garden designer and lecturer based in Lincolnshire. He has extensive knowledge of the reserves and birdlife of the county.
Under watched and off the beaten track, Lincolnshire has a wide and varied selection of habitats and reserves with its species list ever expanding. The jewel in the crown is RSPB Frampton Marsh which is not only a birding mecca but has recently been voted Britain’s favourite bird reserve. With the most important estuary (The Wash) on its shoreline it deserves all the plaudits it receives. The talk will also feature some lesser known areas of the county that we might visit on the groups next visit to this exciting county.

The admission fee is £3 for members and £4 for non-members. Refreshments are included.
