We will walk across the heath to Wishmoor Bottom for the Nightjars.

Morning trip. Meet in Moat Pond car park. A 325 hectare reserve with some of our rarest heathland birds, Dartford warbler, tree pipit and hobby. Boardwalks.

Morning trip. Park in Cowleaze Wood CP opposite (South of Postcode
HP14 3YL). Flower rich chalk grassland, juniper scrub, warblers and butterflies.

Meet in the main car park (postcode RG10 0TH). A donation of £2 per adult is requested (children free).

Car park charges apply, currently £2.00/hr up to a maximum of £8 (for 4 hours or over)

RSPB W&B Local Group’s 45th Anniversary Celebration

A special event to mark our group’s 45th Anniversary with RSPB CEO Beccy Speight.

The highlight of the evening will be a presentation by Beccy Speight, CEO of the RSPB, on ‘The Work of the RSPB and its Future Plans‘, beginning at 7pm. Doors open at 6pm.

There will also be presentations on the history of the group and an overview of the changes in Berkshire birds over the past 45 years.

Tickets are £5 each and this price includes a light buffet with celebration cake and drinks, entry into the raffle and a 45th Anniversary Celebration Programme.
