April Indoor Meeting. Looking for the Goshawk – A talk by Conor Jameson

Our next meeting will take place on Thursday 11th April at 8pm. The meeting will be held at the Finchampstead Memorial Hall.

Conor Jameson will be visiting us this month to talk about that most elusive raptor the Goshawk. This magnificent bird is rarely seen in Britain but in some areas of the country, including the New Forest, it is doing well with increased numbers of breeding birds.

Conor will explain his own journey on tracking down the Goshawk and give us tips on finding this bird for ourselves. He will look at the history of the Goshawk in this country and the difficulties it has had becoming established and compare this with other countries where the Goshawk is far more common.

This talk will be an excellent opportunity to learn more about the beautiful Goshawk.

The admission fee is £3 for members and £4 for non-members. Refreshments are included.
