About West Cumbria Local Group

The RSPB, West Cumbria Local Group extends a warm welcome to all interested in birds and wildlife. We meet on the first Tuesday of each month from September to April. We also undertake voluntary work at Campfield Marsh, nature reserve near Bowness on Solway, RSPB St Bees Head Nature Reserve, RSPB Hodbarrow Nature Reserve, and help with the Lake District Osprey partnership project at the Forestry Commission’s Dodd Wood and Whinlatter Visitor Centre. The group is active in raising funds through local coffee mornings and the sale of RSPB goods. We also hold a stall at local events.
