Fishers Green

Trip report for visit to Fishers Green on Sunday 24th of March.

On a nice morning 8 members met for a walk around this reserve.

On the lakes there were still a few Mallards, Tufted Ducks, Teal, Shoveller and Pochard.  Also lots of Black headed Gulls and a few Lesser Black Backed Gulls and Herring Gulls.

When walking by a stream a Kingfisher flew by, and on the bank a few Herons giving very close views.

Along the lanes there were good numbers of Chiff Chaffs and Blackcaps calling in the trees.

The highlight of the morning was very close views of two Great Crested Grebes adding foliage to the nest, where one egg could be seen.

A good walk with 38 species.
