Amwell Nature Reserve

Trip report for visit to Amwell on 24th November.

Eight members met for a walk around this reserve, and on the main lake there was good sized groups of Mallards, Coots, Shovellers, Gadwall, Tufted Ducks, Wigeon, Pochard, Teal  and three female Goldeneye.

Along the lanes some mixed Tit flocks and Redwings were seen, Goldcrests were heard along with Tree Creeper, Woodpeckers and a few Siskins also seen.

Looking up there was a few Kestrels, Buzzards and Red Kites flying above the fields.

A good walk around with 43 species seen during the morning.
