{"id":3732,"date":"2026-10-10T12:44:02","date_gmt":"2026-10-10T11:44:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/group.rspb.org.uk\/stalbans\/?p=3732"},"modified":"2026-10-21T12:52:05","modified_gmt":"2026-10-21T11:52:05","slug":"tollesbury-wick-october-2026","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/group.rspb.org.uk\/stalbans\/news-blogs\/blog\/tollesbury-wick-october-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Tollesbury Wick &#8211; October 2026"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A productive morning at Tollesbury Wick started with a walk up alongside the marina and a few Greenshanks, Redshank\u00a0 and Little Egrets were feeding between the boats and\u00a0above we had a few skylarks moving through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As we carried on along the sea wall there a good number of teal and Wigeon feeding in the creeks and further outs we had a number of waders further out which included a big numbers of Knot and Redshank along with a lone Spoonbill roosting and a big flock of\u00a0 Shelducks. Also out in the estuary\u00a0there were a number of late terns\u00a0which all seemed to be young sandwich terns hunting.\u00a0further\u00a0down the seawall this many flocks of waders were coming in as the tide was turning including Ringed Plovers, Dunlin, and many Curlew some of which were pushed down by a Marsh Harrier.
