RSPB South Wilts

This is the website of the South Wiltshire Local Group. RSPB local groups are a great way to meet friendly, like-minded people in your area while learning more about birds and wildlife.

About South Wiltshire Local Group

The group’s aim is to actively support the work of the RSPB in south Wiltshire and to involve RSPB members and the wider public in the Society’s conservation, public affairs, education, fundraising and other activities.

We have monthly indoor meetings (in September, October, March and April), monthly Zoom presentations (in November, December, January and February), an AGM in June and at least two field trips a month ranging from gentle local walks to more distant locations.

So, if you would like to have fun and meet like minded people look at the options on this website, maybe join our group and help make a difference for birds and other wildlife. There is no charge for membership of the RSPB South Wilts Local Group. We communicate with Local Group members by email and through our website and Facebook page, therefore our admin costs are sufficiently low that we don’t need to make a charge for membership.  We email members with two newsletters a year, a monthly reminder of our talks and with occasional details of our local events.  We don’t share email addresses with anyone else.

If you would like to become a group member, simply email our Membership Secretary, Lizzie Beer, at memb.rspbsw@gmail.com and tell us your name; we’ll add your name and email address to our membership database.

Please Contact Us for further information on group activities and events, or with queries or information.

For injured birds and wildlife please visit helpwildlife.co.uk. or in an emergency, here in South Wiltshire, contact Wiltshire Wildlife Hospital on 07850 778752. They are based in Newton Tony, SP4 0HW.

For any wildlife advice please call RSPB Wildlife Enquiries on 01767 693690 (9.30am-4.30pm Mon to Fri) and all other enquiries please call RSPB headquarters on 01767 680551 (9am-5.15pm Mon to Fri).
