Our Morning Walk at Marsh Lane Nature Reserve 9th November 23

A good turnout for our walk and we split into two groups to make best use of the hides. The weather had a chill but the sky was blue and it was perfect for our walk. The private site, part of the Packington estate, is a special one as John and Sue played a part in it’s instigation as a nature reserve over 20 years ago. So aptly it was John and Sue who led the two groups with Dave providing further bird identification and photography.

Whether it was due to the weather or something else, there were fewer passerines than we may have expected, but we were happy to see a total of 47 species:
