January to June

January 23rd Bayston Hill Memorial Hall 7:15pm.  Brian Anderson takes us to the Uttermost Part of The Earth following the sea voyages of Magellan and Drake to explore wildlife on Tierra del Fuego.

February 18th The Wirral. Meet at Parkgate CH64 6RL 9:30am.  We will move on to Burton Wetlands RSPB reserve later so bring your national membership card. Facilities.

February 27th Bayston Hill Memorial Hall 7:15pm. Keith Offord will show us how to do Birdwatching By Sound.

March 24th RSPB Conwy Reserve LL31 9XZ 10am.The reserve is on the south side of the A55 just off the roundabout. Good facilities. Bring national membership card.

March 26th Bayston Hill Memorial Hall 7:15pm. Chris Galvin takes us to Kenya, for More Than Just Birds as we visit Mount Kenya, the Masai Mara and the Indian Ocean.

April 23rd Bayston Hill Memorial Hall 7:15pm. We go to Wild Spain with Laurence Rose this month. Writer, conservationist, composer and until recently RSPB staff member, he brings us his experiences of some very special places.

April 28th Marteg Valley/Gilfach Farm LD6 5LD 10am start. Joint trip with S.O.S. Leader Helen Griffiths. This Radnorshire wildlife trust reserve is 3 miles north of Rhayader, just off the A470. Cross the cattle grid into the reserve parking on the right. Good facilities.

May 26th Woolston Eyes WA4 1PD 9:30am start. Leader Estelle Hughes.

Contact Estelle 01948 840902 who needs to know numbers. Directions: From the south, cross the ship canal swing bridge (A50), take right hand lane through Latchford and cross the Kingsway south into Thelwell Lane. Meet at the first locked gate.

June 9th Wenlock Edge meet 9:30am. Leader Reg Dixon.  Small car park so please share cars if possible. 3–4 mile walk with some ups and downs.  From Shrewsbury, on entering Much Wenlock take first turning right signposted Church Stretton and park in N.T car park after about 300 yards on right.
