RSPB Sheffield indoor meetings take place between 7:15 and 9:15pm on the first Thursday of most months. There are no talks in June, July or August. All meetings include a fascinating talk on birds or wildlife and conservation more generally, nearly all of which are delivered by visiting speakers.
RSPB Sheffield meetings take place at Central United Reformed Church, situated at the corner of Norfolk Street and Chapel Walk, Sheffield (opposite the stage door of the Crucible Theatre) though some talks in the winter months may instead be delivered online using Zoom.
RSPB Sheffield meetings cost £4 for group members and £5 for non-members (including RSPB national members who are not members of Sheffield local group). There is no charge for children accompanied by an adult. These charges cover the cost of room hire and speakers.
In addition, our group and Sheffield Bird Study Group (SBSG) have mutually agreed to publicise one another’s events. Our members can attend SBSG meetings for free whilst SBSG members can pay our members’ rate to attend our meetings. SBSG meetings usually take place on the second Wednesday of the month. Unless otherwise stated, they start at 7.15pm in Lecture Theatre 2, Ground Floor, The Diamond Building at the University of Sheffield, Leavygreave Road, Sheffield S3 7RD. Please check the SBSG website near each date for full details.
