Our indoor meetings
Our indoor meetings take place between 7:30 and 9:30 pm on the first Thursday of most months. There are no talks in June, July or August.
They take place at Central United Reformed Church, situated at the corner of Norfolk Street and Chapel Walk, Sheffield (opposite the stage door of the Crucible Theatre)
All include a fascinating talk on birds or wildlife and conservation more generally, nearly all of which are delivered by visiting speakers.
Our first meeting back after the summer break will be on Thursday 1st September when Paul Hobson will talk about ‘Coast and Island‘. On Thursday 6th October there will be a talk by Pete Brown with the intriguing title of ‘The Northumbrian Garden Parrot‘. Then on Thursday 3rd November we have Tim Birkhead on the subject of ‘Birds in Art‘. More details on all of these and the rest of next season’s indoor meetings will follow nearer the time.
Indoor meetings cost £3 for Group Members and £4 for Non-members (including RSPB national members who are not members of Sheffield local group). There is no charge for children accompanied by an adult.
