A small award-winning nature reserve and open space for the local community. Saved from development and maintained by volunteers on the site of Farnham Quarry. If you’ve spotted the lake as you rush past on the A31 why not come along and explore its varied habitats – open water, gravel islands and scrapes, reedbeds, scrub, woodland, and wet and dry grassland. A good time of year for passage migrants such as sandpipers and other waders to drop in.
Meet: Reserve entrance on Badshot Lea Road (B3208) near the Pea Bridge (at SU 86759 49018). Postcode GU9 9LS.
