Field Trip to RSPB Medmerry & Pagham Harbour – 12/05/2024

On this trip we will hopefully see a variety of species. Visiting Medmerry first, we will look out for passerines such as Common Whitethroat, Linnet, Skylark, Reed Bunting, Yellowhammer, Stonechat and Dartford Warbler. Waders should feature on the pools and in addition to Avocets, Lapwings and Black-tailed Godwits we may find Little Ringed Plover and Common Sandpiper. Gulls present should include Black Headed, Mediterranean and Herring.

At this time of year, the area could produce the unexpected so we’ll keep fingers crossed.

At Pagham Harbour we’ll be looking to add to our sightings, whether that be small migrants, herons, egrets or terns. Visits to Pagham Harbour normally provide plenty of interest.

The meeting is free to join for RSPB North East Hants Local Group Members (Booking Essential)

Non Members of the group are welcome to attend for a suggested donation of £3.00 per person. Advance Booking is essential, so please contact the Outdoor Meetings Organiser on 01276 29434.
