‘Aphrodite’s Isle’ by Roger Beck – Saturday 09/03/2024

Roger, an excellent speaker who has visited us many times before will present a brand-new talk to the Group on Cyprus, ‘Aphrodite’s Isle’ incorporating both Greek and Turkish areas.

Cyprus is a rugged, sun-drenched island at the crossroads of Africa, Asia and Europe. We can expect an interesting assortment of wildlife given the amazingly rich diversity. Sea and shore, coastal plains, desert, scrubland, freshwater lakes/dams, saltwater marshes/lagoons, forest and even alpine all within close succession.

This talk is free to join for RSPB North East Hants Local Group Members. Non Members of the group are most welcome to attend for a suggested donation of £3.00 per person.

The meeting will be held at St Philip & St James Church Hall, King’s Road, Fleet, Hants, GU51 3AR starting at 7.30 pm. Please arrive a few minutes before this so that you can purchase your raffle tickets and the talk can begin on time.

Tea & Coffee will be available during the interval and there will be a small selection of RSPB goods and the usual fundraising tables. Please come and browse.
