Welcome to our group website
This is the website of the Newcastle upon Tyne Local Group. RSPB local groups are a great way to meet friendly, like-minded people in your area while learning more about birds and wildlife.
How to find you way around our website
The menu at the top can be used to find your way around the site. You can find details of our upcoming trips in the section below. Trip reports and meeting reports can be found under “Blogs”. Under “Local Wild Places” you can find details of some of our favourite places to visit in the general area. The Search (magnifying glass) can be used to search news and blogs (trip reports) for specific locations and species for example.
Our Upcoming Events
We run a variety of events including local walks, trips and indoor meetings. All are welcome to join us. Our next local walk is at Winlaton Mill in the Derwent Valley. Our next Field Trip is to RSPB Saltholme. We have a Zoom Meeting on the 5th December, details here Our full programme for November 2023 to June 2024 is available below
