About us

The group’s aim is to actively support the work of the RSPB in the local community, and to involve RSPB members and the wider public in the Society’s conservation, public affairs, education, fundraising and other activities.

We have monthly indoor meetings held locally between September and May, as well as arranging outdoor meetings, including coach trips and local walks (programme under development) throughout the year.

So, if you would like to have fun and meet like-minded people, then contact us and help make a difference for birds and wildlife.

Meeting times and costs

First Friday of the month between September and May at 7.30pm – please contact the group to check. Charges: £4 for visitors and RSPB members (Local Group members free). Group annual subscription is £17 (half price for juniors under 18).
