This is the website of the Hitchin & Letchworth Local Group. RSPB local groups are a great way to meet friendly, like-minded people in your area while learning more about birds and wildlife. By the way, you do not need to be a group member to attend the vast majority of our events. Anyone can book on a coach trip or come along to one of our talks.
We have a great programme of Talks and other Indoor Activities, Coach Trips and Own Transport Trips lined up for 2026-2027
We also organise local walks to place in late spring and early summer. We will post a new local walks programme early in 2027.

RSPB Wallasea Island update
Our second talk this season will be from Rachel Fancy, who is the site manager for RSPB Wallasea Island (a massive 740-hectare coastal nature reserve in Rochford, Essex).
