Our next talk is Friday 19th April– ‘Rye Harbour Nature Reserve & it’s Wildlife’ with James Duncan.

Rye Harbour’s 465 hectares have important international wildlife designations – SSSI, SPA, SAC & Ramsar.

With a whopping total of over 4300 species, Rye Harbour has 44% of everything ever seen at a Sussex Wildlife Trust reserve. It has 1274 species that have been seen there and at no other SWT site. In total nearly 300 varieties of bird have been observed, of which 101 of those are breeding species. At this talk we will take a closer look at the reserve and the precious habitats that make it so important for a wide variety of flora and fauna.

The full programme for our 2024 talks is also available here.
