Myroe Levels is an area of reclaimed land on the shores of Lough Foyle.  Surrounded by farmland with open ditches it provides a variety of habitat for over wintering geese, swans and waders.  Whooper swans, Brent Geese and flocks of Golden Plover, Curlew, Ringed Plover and Dunlin can be found during autumn and winter.   Occasionally a Little Stint drops in as well as some rarities such as Buff Breasted Sandpiper.

Redshank, Greenshank, Black-tailed Godwit and Little Egret stalk the water filled ditches.

In the Lough Great Crested Grebe,  Slavonian Grebe, Red Breasted Merganser, Great Northern, Black Throated and Red Throated Diver can be found during the winter months.
