This is a great location for summer migrants, water birds, warblers and kingfishers. A maximum of 15 people will be allowed on this walk, so booking is essential. Please note that there are no facilities on site.

Butterfly walk – Holly Hill Open Space
The species on the wing will hopefully include marbled white as well as more common species such as large white, meadow brown, peacock, large and Essex skipper. Booking for this event is essential.

Coach trip – Paxton Pits Nature Reserve
This reserve is situated in the Great Ouse Valley. The reserve is home to many resident birds including kingfisher, reed bunting and Cetti’s warbler with plenty of summer visitors, hobby. nightingale, cuckoo, sedge and reed warbler, whitethroat and common tern. The small visitors centre has hot and cold drinks available along with ice cream. Booking for this event is essential.

Car trip – Stodmarsh NNR
A fabulous reserve in the Stour Valley consisting of reed beds, ferns, ditches and wet grassland. Bittern, marsh harrier, terns, cuckoo, warblers and bearded tit can all be encountered. Please bring your own lunch / refreshments. Booking is essential as there are only 20 places available on this walk. Toilets are available in the car park.
