About us

The oldest local RSPB Local Members’ Group in Northern Ireland, the RSPB Belfast Local Group celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2022/2023! We work to support the mission of the RSPB in the local community and to involve our members and the wider public in conservation, public affairs, education, fundraising and other activities. We have monthly indoor meetings, September to April, at the Cooke Centenary Church Hall, Park Road, Belfast, BT7 2FY. (During Covid we hosted monthly or fortnightly speakers via Zoom from September to April with other local RSPB NI groups.) We also organise regular group trips to wildlife areas and RSPB reserves, and everyone from beginner to expert is welcome.
