Farmoor Reservoir

Location:    Cumnor Road,  Oxford, OX2 9NS

The Reservoir is owned and managed by Thames Water and is about 5 miles from Oxford city centre.

The site is free to visit and there is a £2.00 parking fee.

Open every day at 8am , closing times depend on the time of year.

The Reservoir is the largest single area of open water in Oxfordshire and is split by a central kilometre causeway. The site has the Waterside Cafe and plenty of toilet facilities, three with disabled access.

The whole whole area is great for birdwatching at any time of the year and rarities often turn up. A long staying juvenile Great Northern Diver was on the water over the autumn and winter of 2021 and well into 2022.
