Ballynature Day 2024

Saturday 24 February

Report by Brenda Campbell

We had a cracking day at this year’s Ballynature Day. There were loads of visitors, despite the rugby, and we gave them our best attention, all washed down with lashings of tea from the lovely ladies in the foyer.

Kate and I set up the stall, soon joined by Carol and it was all go till midday when we were glad to see the volunteers come in to give us a break.  Huge thanks to Sylvia, Roy, William, Sandy, Alan and his wife Pauline who rolled in when we needed them.  I don’t think Kate took a break, it was all too exciting!

The Swift family brought such joy with them when they headed over to our stall and introduced us to their little Swiftling, Nathan. They loved the title of the Swift booklet 🤣 And yes the dad is called Jonathan.

There was a lot of interest in our groups Swift project to provide more homes for Swifts and offers of help so all in all a most successful day.

Tired but happy
